Small Ship Cruising - The Australian Coast

Across the Top of Australia MapCORAL PRINCESS CRUISES

Across the Top of Australia - The Great Barrier Reef to the Outback
An unforgettable experience that combines the best of The Top End, as it is affectionately known, The Great Barrier Reef, Cape York Peninsula, Arnhem Land and the Coburg Peninsula.

The northern reaches of the Great Barrier Reef are the most remote and pristine areas of this magnificent national park. Our journey follows Captain James Cook’s voyage of discovery into the communities and cultures of the peoples of this remarkable coast. Experience the diverse cultures of the Aboriginal, Torres Strait and Tiwi Islanders who call this remote and beautiful region ‘home’.

Here, nature is an all-powerful force: monsoons rejuvenate the rivers and floodplains, bringing wealth to the cattle ranchers of the savannah lands and providing the lifeblood to the inhabitants of the sleepy coastal towns. The mighty estuarine crocodile is indeed King of the Wild and the waters of the Arafura Sea are alive with marine and birdlife.

Join an expedition that will see you encounter The Top End from the comfort and style of our superb luxury vessel!

Onboard accommodation comprises 36 spacious modern staterooms. You can select from Bridge, Promenade or Main Deck staterooms offering a choice of twin through to junior king-size doubles. All staterooms have an ocean view, en-suite facilities, settee, large wardrobe, desk, luggage storage, individual air-conditioning control, and are serviced daily.

Oceanic Princess Oceanic Discoverer - The Kimberley Coast Cruise
10 night voyages from April to September Darwin to Broome or Vice Versus

Adventure and discovery of Australia’s northernmost unspoilt Outback region…The Kimberley’s.

Accommodating 76 passengers in 36 spacious modern staterooms. The 63-metre Oceanic Discoverer operates the extremely popular 10-night Kimberley expedition cruises between Darwin and Broome.

The region known simply as The Kimberley takes its evocative name from its most imposing landmark; an ancient mountain range visible from the rugged seacoast. Covering more than 400,000 square kilometres (an area three times larger than England) in North West Australia, it is a place universally acknowledged as the world’s last - and possibly most beautiful - wilderness.

The Kimberley Coast Cruise RouteThe Kimberley yields images to fill the frames of a lifetime. It is a place of magnificent vistas created by towering rock ridges, silent secluded gorges, wide savannah plains and waterfalls which defy both nature and belief.

Discover Broome, the still exotic capital of The Kimberley that was once the pearling capital of the world.

With personalized and intimate experience, the size of Oceanic Discoverer allows access to remote reefs and islands inaccessible to larger vessels. Inflatable zodiacs and an excursion vessel, “Explorer” will convey passengers on daily explorations. The “Explorer” is large enough to carry all passengers on one trip and therefore all experience the same highlights and events at the same time.

Oceanic Discoverer is the only one of her kind built in Australia with full International solas, and is uniquely an Australian owned, Australian built and Australian crewed ship.

You can select from Bridge, Promenade or Main Deck staterooms offering a choice of twin through to junior king-size doubles. All staterooms have an ocean view, en-suite facilities, settee, large wardrobe, desk, luggage storage, individual air-conditioning control, and are serviced daily.
