Day 1	Arrive Launceston. Pick up rental car at the airport. Make own way to your hotel.
Day 2	Drive 125 miles through pastoral lands to Lake St. Clair National Park, a mountainous area of alpine moorlands, lakes and wide variety of fauna and flora. Stay Cradle Mountain Lodge.
Day 3	At leisure. Explore the magnificent wilderness area.
Day 4	Less than 100 miles away is the historic port township of Strahan, once the center of the Western Tasmania timber industry.
Day 5	Cruise on the beautiful Gordon River, with its deep, clear waters, and timber-clad shoreline. Drive 200 miles as you follow the course of the Derwent River to Hobart, Tasmania's State Capital.
Day 6	Depart Hobart. We recommend you visit historic Port Arthur before returning your rental car to Hobart airport.
