The Central Highlands of Tasmania is an Alpine wilderness of forests, mountains, and lakes, protected by Cradle Mountain/Lake St. Clair National Park. Miles of hiking trails explore the Park which contains dark mossy rainforests and glacial tarns, Alpine meadows and tumbling rivers. The lodge offers a daily activities program including guided nature walks, canoeing, horse riding, and other activities. Regular visitors to the Lodge environs include wallabies, possums, wombats and the Tasmanian Devil, plus an assortment of native forest birds. Freycinet Lodge - Nature, Walks & Activities - Tasmania

Mid-way up Tasmania's beautiful East Coast, Freycinet lies on the 42 degree latitudinal line, experiencing a climate similar to that of Southern France. The area enjoys over 300 days of sunshine every year and is famous for its local wineries, fresh farm produce and freshly caught seafood.
There are 38 tastefully appointed cabins in a secluded bushland setting including 24 one bedroom cabins (12 with spas), 2 one bedroom cabins with special disability facilities and 12 two bedroom family cabins.
The Lodge provides a comprehensive activities program. There is a range of walks for all levels of fitness. Four-wheel drive trips, dinghy hire, horse riding, boat trips (fishing & sightseeing), golf and scuba diving may be organized from the Lodge. Some activities are available on a seasonal basis only

Do you dream of camping in style under the stars?  Relax and unwind in the natural surrounds of pristine Australian bush whilst enjoying the comfort of your own safari style tent with en-suite at Paperbark Camp, Jervis Bay.   Located just a few kilometres upstream from Huskisson on Sydney's stunning and unspoilt South Coast, the camp has been built amongst a tall stand of spotted gums and paperbarks, hand cleared to leave the smallest of footprints on the environment. With 600m of frontage onto the highly protected Currambene Creek, guests can explore the Jervis Bay National Marine Park by canoes provided, take a strll along the bush paths keeping an eye out for local wildlife or explore the surrounding area by bike.

The camp accommodates up to 26 people in ten elevated safari tents with warp around verandahs, strong steel frames and a double canvas roof. Powered by solar energy, they have lighting, hot showers, flush toilet, comfortable queen or twin beds, luxury cotton linen, pure wool doonas, insect screens, candlelight and stylish locally made bush furniture.

With its wide open verandahs for outdoor dining in summer, and log fire in winter, the Gunyah is the camp's central meeting and lounge area. Now a highly regarded restaurant, the Gunyah provides guests with a unique dining experience offering the best of local produce, not to mention entertainment from our resident family possums!

Paperbark Camp offers tranquility and seclusion in a beautiful, natural setting, a welcome retreat in todays hectic world. (Closed during the winter months July 01 - August 31).
