Country and Farm-Stay options in New Zealand give the traveler
the opportunity to sample the real "Kiwi" way
of life. Whether in a modern city home or a traditional
country farmhouse, visitors will experience a warmth and
friendliness not often found in the impersonal atmosphere
of a hotel or motel. With more than 300 quality homes
throughout New Zealand visitors can experience first-hand
the relaxed lifestyle and enjoy the fresh air and natural
foods of the country.
Homestays:
Are usually in the city or town and make a good base
for exploring and sightseeing. Guests can choose to
have Bed & Breakfast only, or join the hosts for lunch
and dinner too.
Farmstays:
Provide guests with the opportunity to experience
the country llifestyle and join in the everday suitable
farm activities or simply relax at one of the many types
of farms, such as sheep, dairy, cattle, deer, horse or goats
(or a combination of these). Your stay includes dinner
and breakfast as properties are usually some distance from
restaurants.
Countrystays:
Generally situated in a rural environment on a lifestyle
(hobby) farm. Your stay includes a traditional New Zealand
dinner, country breakfast and farm activities.
All homes have
been inspected and are of high standard. Accommodation
is clean and comfortable and guests receive value for money.
Home, Country and Farmstays are more than just a night's
accommodation, they are an escape from reality into a world
of old fashioned hospitality!
Standard Category: Most homes offer private facilities for guests. However, in some areas, the only accommodation available is a on a 'share bathroom basis'.
Superior
Category: Properties offer superior standards of
comfort, food and hospitality and provide the little extras
not always found in standard home, country and farmstays.
Each home has been chosen for its individual character and
ambience. High quality bedding, private or en suite
bathroom with a selection of toiletries and high standard
of decor and furnishings, provide all the comforts of home
and more.
Open
Dated Vouchers: If you like the flexibility of arranging
accommodation as you travel (not recommended during high
season Oct-Mar) you just call our local NZ toll free number
24 hours in advance. We do our best to book the requested
location, but during the high season sometimes we may not
be able to meet your request, and an alternative suggestion
will be made. Minimum of 4 vouchers required.
