Welcome to Tahiti

Map of Tahitiian IslandsOften called "The Island of Love", it's the largest of the 130 islands and atolls that comprise French Polynesia. The 402 square miles of Tahiti's surface area consists of mountain peaks reaching over 7,000 ft. into a lei of wispy clouds; deep green valleys covered with rain forests and soft ferns; waterfalls cascading into cool sweet rivers and streams, and flat coastal land, with fields of taro and flowers.

Papeete, the capital of Tahiti, is only seven and one-half hours by air from Los Angeles and your port of entry into French Polynesia. Neighboring islands include Moorea, Tetiaroa, Huahine, Bora Bora, Raiatea, Tahaa and Maupiti. Also, easily accessible are Rangiroa and Manihi in the Tuamotu Archipelago and the Marquesas Islands in the north.
