This Hi-Octane trip was designed for as a college graduation gift from Father to his adult Son. They traveled during winter and went skiing for a day at the Remarkables ski field outside of Queenstown.

Start this amazing journey onboard an America’s cup Racing boat in Auckland Harbor. Black water raft through the Glow Worm Caves and buckle up for a 4WD Bush Safari. Prepare to get wet as you ride down hills in an inflatable ball. Learn and explore how they filmed Hobbiton and about Maori Culture in the Thermal Region of the North Island. Experience the highs (paragliding) and lows (bungee jumping) in the adrenaline capital of the Southern hemisphere in Queenstown. Defy gravity “canyoning” and challenge yourself with White Water Rafting, a helicopter flight & jetboating the Shotover.

On this self-drive/fly journey you stay 1 night in Auckland, 1 night in Hamilton, 2 nights Rotorua, 2 nights Nelson, then onto the Adventure Capital of New Zealand ‘Queenstown’ for your remaining 3 nights.
Early morning arrival in AUCKLAND where you stay for 1 night. * Your uniformed driver will meet you in the arrivals hall. Once you’re settled, your driver will give you a 2-Hours City Highlights Sightseeing tour, enroute to the hotel.
You’ll have a fun afternoon, sure to keep you awake prior to checking into your hotel.

Black water rafting at Waitomo Caves – this is insanely cool and will rate as a highlight of your trip.
This is the original Waitomo subterranean adventure that will have you climbing, black water tubing, leaping and floating through Ruakuri Cave. Over three hours you’ll take leaps of faith over cascading waterfalls and float serenely down an underground river as you enjoy the glow worm show on the vaulted limestone galleries up above. Your journey concludes when you emerge into the sunlight of the Waitomo forest.

After a hearty breakfast, self-drive to MATAMATA for a Lord of the Rings experience.

With a drive through the picturesque 1,250 acre sheep farm with spectacular views across to the Kaimai Ranges, your guide will escort you through the ten acre site recounting fascinating details of how the Hobbiton Movie Set was created. Hobbit holes, The Green Dragon Inn, The Mill and other structures can be viewed and you will see how this beautiful piece of Waikato farmland was transformed into The Shire from Middle-earth. Specially brewed beverages are available at The Green Dragon Inn as you complete your tour. After your tour of the film set your host will then return you to The Shires Rest Cafe with the opportunity to visit The Shire Store.

Te Po Evening Experience begins at Te Keketanga-a-Rangi (Heavenly Origins), a space comprising twelve monumental carvings reaching skyward. Hear stories of the past prior to assembling at the waharoa (gateway) of the marae. Experience an authentic Maori welcome ceremony, warrior’s challenge and kapa haka (performing arts) concert.

Buckle in and share the driving in your own 4-Wheel BUSH SAFARI Your professional guide, up ahead, gives you instructions while your heart is racing with anticipation. The terrain is like nothing you’ve encountered before and the challenges come thick and fast! As you traverse unbelievably steep climbs and descents; tight, twisting bends; deep, muddy holes; the 4WD rocks and pitches. Foliage brushes past… you come to a bridge of poles over a creek – how can you possibly get across that? And suddenly the luge: a six meter-high controlled slide down a near-vertical 80-degree slope. Adrenaline pumping, you try not to look down. Follow instructions and take a leap of faith!
Be prepared for a hilarious 10 minute ride on H2OGO SIDEWINDER TRACK (wet ride)!
The world’s longest zig-zag – 350m long track with 6 hugh corners Ride the OGO down the twistiest track ever constructed! Slide in 40 litres of water (cool in the summer and warm in the winter) getting speed up on the straights before riding up the sides of the most massive corners. In 1994, Andrew Akers and Dwane van der Sluis invented a big inflatable ball that people could jump inside and roll around in. Initially they thought they could use the ball for walking on water but they soon found they could have more fun rolling down hills in it.

Discover the beautiful beaches, tidal estuaries and rivers of the most scenic kayaking area in the National Park from Anchorage to Bark Bay. Pause at a sheltered cove for lunch (included) and take time to relax and explore. Paddling approx. 2.5hours. Morning & Afternoon tea included.

Paragliding – Today you will enjoy an exhilarating Tandem Paragliding flight from the top of the Skyline Gondola. You will need sturdy footwear and warm clothing. There is a short uphill hike to the take-off site so a reasonable standard of fitness is required.

Choose from a number of options; topple over backwards, forwards, with another person, spin or somersault and even choose to bob above the water, touch it, or be fully immersed.

Half Day Canyoning– duration 3 hours and you spend 2 hours canyoning after a short drive it’s only a gently five minute walk through native bush to the lakeside scenic reserve. The high walled canyon of mica schist is where our canyoning experience begins. You’ll descend into the canyon, plunge into pools, cascade down chutes, abseil waterfalls and swim narrow passage ways.
