Hollyford Track Guided Walk

The Hollyford Track, in World Heritage Fiordland National Park, is ‘the greatest mountains to sea guided walk in the world’. Step back in time and experience spectacular geology, intriguing ecology and a fascinating history of human endeavour. You walk from spectacular alpine mountains to rugged coast-line. Begin and end in Queenstown with a pre-tour briefing on the evening of arrival, after check in to your hotel. There is a range of tour options.

3 Day/2 Night Hollyford Wilderness Journey – An all inclusive spectacular walk from the mountains to the sea that is suitable for a wide range of fitness levels. Unlike any other walk, the scenery is geologically spectacular and ever changing – snow capped mountains, glaciers, rainforests, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, reefs, sand dunes and surf. The experiences are diverse- hiking, wildlife interaction, historical tales, jet boating, and a magnificent scenic flight to Milford Sound.

The Milford Sound Overnight Cruise is an optional upgrade and date is the night of your return date on your Hollyford Track itinerary.
Return transport from Queenstown to the track, meals, snacks, accommodation, and use of backpacks and rain jackets. Accommodation is in our sophisticated lodges with twin share rooms. Expert guides will ensure your group (maximum 16 people) experience New Zealand’s wilderness at its best.

Traversing the heart of New Zealand’s wild fiord country, the Milford Track has long been described as “the finest walk in the world”. Since Quintin Mackinnon pioneered the route in 1888, everyone from hardened trekkers to novices sporting their first pair of boots, have taken up the challenge of the Milford Track.

The Fiordland National Park is the cornerstone of the Te Wai Pounamu Southwest New Zealand World Heritage Park. Walkers on the track to Milford Sound encounter Fiordland at its most spectacular. Deep lakes, silent fiords, luxuriant forest and sheer canyons carved out of imposing granite define this landscape. On a sunny day there is a postcard shot around every corner, but only when it rains, and torrents of water cascade down the mountainsides, have you truly experienced the magic of the Milford Track.

The Milford Track Guided Walk is 5 day/4 night all inclusive package, Queenstown to Queenstown Walk through the heart of Fiordland National Park on “the finest walk in the world” to Milford Sound. It is also possible to start or finish your Milford Track Guided Walk in Te Anau.

Accommodation is 4 share bunkrooms with shared bathroom facilities. Private Room Option on request with a supplemental charge per adult (share twin basis) (Single Room incurs a supplement surcharge)

Briefing in Queenstown office at 4pm the evening prior to your departure of the guided walk. The Milford Track 5 day/ 4 night Guided Walk includes transport to and from the track; 3 nights track accommodation & one night at Milford Sound; breakfasts, lunches and dinners; snacks; backpacks and rain jackets. Accommodation is provided in comfortable lodges and you will be led by expert guides.

Routeburn Track traverses the greatest variety of scenery of any of New Zealand’s Great Walks. The Routeburn Guided Walk is a 3 day / 2 night all-inclusive Queenstown to Queenstown package. Guides & safety. All Lodges have hot showers, multi-share bedrooms with bunk style sleeping 4-6 people per room.

Following in the footprints of Maori jade traders who used the Greenstone Valley before joining the Routeburn Track at Lake Howden the Grand Traverse is ideal for people wanting to immerse themselves in New Zealand’s spectacular back-country.

The Grand Traverse Guided Walk is a Queenstown to Queenstown package. Guides & safety. All Lodges have hot showers, multi-share bedrooms with bunk style sleeping 4-6 people per room.

Low Season: 1 – 30 November and 1 – 18 April.  High Season: 1 December – 31 March.

Guided Day Walks are ideal for people with limited time, or who are uncertain about their ability to complete a longer walk. They are the educational and trouble free way to sample the magic of New Zealand’s wilderness. We provide everything from door to door transport, food, free loan of daypacks, waterproof jackets, sunscreen and insect repellent to an emergency radio system to enhance your safety. Minimum numbers are required for each departure to operate. Minimum age is 10yrs. Child is 10 – 15 yrs

Available from November to April these guided walks begin with a courtesy pick up from your Queenstown (or Te Anau) accommodation.  Your full 9-10 hour day includes about 5-6 hours on the track(s)

Routeburn Track Encounter – Day Walk  from Queenstown

13km (8 miles) return trip, 6 hours walking, total duration 9 hours. Fully catered guided days walk up the spectacular Routeburn Valley departing from and returning to Queenstown. It is the most challenging of our day walks, especially for those who take the optional challenge of climbing to Routeburn Falls.

Milford Track Encounter – Day Walk   from Te Anau

11km (6.5 miles) return trip 6 hours walking, total duration 9 hours. A fully catered day walk up the ice carved Clinton Canyon gateway to the Milford track, departing from and returning to Te Anau. Milford Track Encounter is an ideal way to sample the magic of the finest walk in the world. You can also inquire about walks in Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park.

Guided Ship Cove Walk in Marlborough Sound
4 Days/3 Nights –  Operates October – April

The Queen Charlotte Track, located at the top of the South Island in the Marlborough Sounds is unique for its stunning coastal views, historical landmarks and wonderful variety of native bush and wildlife. This walk is as much about a walking holiday as it is an environmental, cultural and lifestyle experience. This 71km (40 miles) track will wrap you in the mystical beauty and totally absorb you for four magical days.

The track is walked at a comfortable pace and you only carry a light day pack as your luggage is transported on to each accommodation. You need to have an average to above-average level of fitness and in good health, to enjoy this itinerary. The track covers a variety of gradients with some rough surfaces, hence the need for strong comfortable footwear.

All guided trips include mature experienced guides, eco tour and dolphin watch experience, comfortable superior lodge accommodation, all meals, luggage transfers each day, water transfer return at end of walk. Minimum number required for trip to depart is 2 people. Maximum group size is 12. All accommodation is based on twin share (except Furneaux Lodge where four people share a two bedroom chalet). All meals are served in the resort restaurant. The rates do not include alcohol, however this can easily be purchased at the accommodation house each evening.

Ideal for people who are short on time, and want to walk the length of the 38 Km Abel Tasman Coast Track and enjoy luxury accommodations at beachfront lodges – The Homestead Lodge in Awaroa and Torrent Bay Lodge. Includes a scenic cruise along the coastline.

5-Day Guided Walk with optional Sea Kayaking

Start Days: Tuesdays and Fridays (Southbound)

This leisurely holiday includes three days of walking the Coast Track and two “free” days at the beachfront lodges. The Homestead Lodge in Awaroa and Torrent Bay Lodge to explore, canoe, swim, kick back on the beach, or hike inland to see parts of the park most visitors miss when they walk the track in only three days.
This is most relaxing way to experience all the Abel Tasman National Park has to offer, including a scenic cruise along the coastline.
