7 Days Alila Purnama Raja Ampat Expedition
Raja Ampat, which translates literally as ‘the Four Kings’, is an archipelago of over 1,500 small islands located off the northwest tip of New Guinea in Indonesia’s West Papua province. The Raja Ampat Islands are a truly beautiful paradise that remains relatively untouched due to the islands’ remoteness. As far as underwater beauty goes, the waters in this region are unbeatable, a mecca for diving teeming with over 1,600 fish species and over 600 coral species. It is believed that the diversity of marine life here is the highest recorded on Earth, making for some truly spectacular snorkelling and diving.

The above-water beauty is no less stunning – dense tropical forests, unique flora, astounding rock formations, and an amazing array of bird and wildlife. Sailing through the Raja Ampat waters, stopping for diving, island treks and picnics on quiet beaches promises an experience you won’t soon forget.

FARONDI | FIABAJET | GAMFI STRAIT | JEF FAM | MANSUAR

DAY 1: ARRIVAL SORONG – FARONDI ISLAND
From Bali, Manado, Jakarta or Ambon, you will arrive at Sorong where you will be met by the Alila Purnama crew and be transferred by car and speedboat to the vessel. Once on board, let your voyage to relaxation begin!

Following a general briefing by the Cruise Director to familiarize you with the vessel and its safety procedures, we cast off and cruise into the Dampier Strait.

Say goodbye to land as you enjoy cocktails with the breeze on the upper deck.

THE BOAT ALILA PURNAMA: (Cruise requires a minimum of (3) cabins to operate)
46-metre long Alila Purnama consists of three decks and has been built by hand in the traditional style of a Phinisi, as used by the Bugis seafarers from south Sulawesi in Indonesia. In keeping with Alila’s emphases is on style and sustainability, the furniture throughout the boat is custom-made from teak, rattan and other locally sourced materials from Indonesia.

ACCOMMODATION:
Four well-appointed suites, all air-conditioned with queen size beds, en-suite bathrooms with shower, separate toilet, double wardrobes and writing desk. Master suite, expansively designed with large, wraparound windows offering 270-degree views of the ever-changing landscape. Its bathroom features shower, bathtub, two washbasins and an enclosed separate toilet, while a private balcony and large sundeck with daybed and deckchair is provide the ultimate space for relaxation.

FACILITIES:
A library, lounge, bar, indoor dining area seating up to 10 persons and plenty of space outside to unwind and enjoy the views. It is also equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi* access, enabling guests to upload their trip photos on a daily basis. Guests will be able to dine at leisure in the air-conditioned dining room or on the outdoor deck. The main outdoor deck has large oversized daybeds shaded by umbrellas–perfect for relaxing day or night and enjoying the fresh sea breezes. Guests can also succumb to the soothing pleasures of a signature Alila massage onboard in the spa therapist or on a nearby beach. The Wi-Fi service is subject to availability, depending on the satellite connectivity and technical condition.

DAY 2: FARONDI ISLAND
Wake up to the beautiful sight of Farondi Island set before you.

After breakfast, you can choose to snorkel or dive to discover the incredible corals and fish life of the Raja Ampat region. Or if you prefer, you can stay on board and luxuriate with a pampering spa treatment.

During the afternoon, our crew will take you for a spin on a speedboat to explore Farondi Island before returning you to Alila Purnama for a relishing dinner.

DAY 3: FARONDI ISLAND – FIABAJET ISLAND
Early morning, captain and crew will sail Alila Purnama to Fiabajet Island. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to dive or snorkel in this mesmerizing underwater paradise. The reef is so colorful and unique here that you will be tempted to spend all day in the sea. A variety of different activities can be enjoyed all day long until evening.

DAY 4: FIABAJET ISLAND – GAMFI STRAIT
Morning brings another new surprise… After journeying through the night, you are now in the Gamfi Strait. Lots more diving and snorkeling are on the menu today but other activities may also be customized in the planning to guest preferences. Suntan on board or seek out the onboard spa therapist for pampering spa treatments.

After a fabulous lunch hop in with our crew for a speedboat adventure to discover the many small islands of Gamfi Strait. By sundown, the Alila Purnama will set sail towards Jef Fam Island.

DAY 5: GAMFI STRAIT – JEF FAM ISLAND
Jef Fam Island is a marvelous place to enjoy a myriad of activities like sea kayaking, diving, snorkeling and trekking. In the afternoon, the crew will whisk you off in the speedboat for an exciting cruise around the island, a thrilling way to observe small natural pools uniquely created by rocks and discover rare orchids. Enjoy another beautiful sundown experience over a gourmet dinner painstakingly prepared by the executive chef on board Alila Purnama – a perfect end to another amazing day.

DAY 6: JEF FAM ISLAND – MANSUAR ISLAND
Come morning, another day of new discoveries awaits at Mansuar Island. With the morning tide, the crew will bring you snorkeling and diving in waters where turtle encounters are common along with visiting manta rays.

In the afternoon the crew will escort you on shore to visit a local village – a chance to meet with the islanders and learn of the local way of life. Later in the afternoon, as you enjoy cocktails on board Alila Purnama, we will begin to cruise towards Sorong.

DAY 7: MANSUAR ISLAND – SORONG
After a leisurely breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Alila Purnama and her crew who will escort you until Sorong airport and assist with your departure for your onward flight to your next destination.
