Welcome to Auckland, the ‘City of Sails’. This afternoon is at leisure – we suggest an Optional city sightseeing tour or Harbour Cruise.
Travel to the fascinating Waitomo Caves where you will enjoy a guided tour of the famous Glowworm Grotto. From her spend a few hours exploring the Hobbiton Movie Set, then continue on to Rotorua. In the evening enjoy a Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert. (Lunch & Dinner included)
Today experience the many varied sights that Rotorua has to offer. Visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve for a guided tour to learn about traditional Maori crafts, see geysers & boiling mud pools. Travel on to Rainbow Springs Kiwi Wildlife Park and enjoy a show at the Agrodome Organic Farm. Afternoon at leisure. Optional tours A scenic flight to White Island, an active volcano for a guided walk; Bathe in the thermal waters & enjoy a massage or mud treatment at the Polynesian Spa.
Optional Overnight Farmstay: Add an extra day to include the local hospitality on a farm, or continue East to Hawke’s Bay wine growing region or South to Wellington the Federal Capital.
