The town of Ubud, in the uplands of Bali, Indonesia, is known as a center for traditional crafts and dance. Ancient holy sites include the intricately carved Goa Gajah (“Elephant Cave”) and Gunung Kawi, with its rock-cut shrines.

Bali is an Indonesian island located in the westernmost end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, lying between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. It is one of the country’s 33 provinces with the provincial capital at Denpasar towards the south of the island. Bali is renowned for its diverse and sophisticated art forms, such as painting, sculpture, woodcarving, handcrafts, and performing arts. Balinese percussion orchestra music, known as gamelan, is highly developed and varied. The main tourist locations are the town of Kuta (with its beach), and its outer suburbs of Legian and Seminyak (which were once independent townships), the east coast town of Sanur (once the only tourist hub), in the center of the island Ubud, to the south of the Ngurah Rai International Airport, Jimbaran, and the newer development of Nusa Dua and Pecatu.

Then proceed to Celuk, the center of exquisite silver works and Mas, known for its fine woodcarvings, before visiting the holy spring of Tirta Empul, surrounded by a large shrine to honour the God Indra. There are bathing pools which are believed to have strong curative powers. On the hill behind this temple is a presidential guest house built by the late President Soekarno.

Our next stop is Kintamani where you can enjoy your Lunch with breathtaking views over the caldera lake of Danau Batur. Going down the hill, we pass the greeneries of Tegallalang with its rice field and coconut trees. Stop at one of Ubud’s art galleries and also Tohpati, which is known for its batik.

Evening at leisure or we could arrange special romantic dinner in the rice fields.

If it’s more of a challenge that you crave, the instructor will guide you through some of the most technical terrain the site has to offer, traverse seemingly impossible slopes down hill and then use the full power of the bikes to ascend back to the up hill. Explore the island’s hidden beauty in a way that you’ve never done before. Your first stop is Pura Taman Ayun, the former royal family temple; it was built in the 17th century by the former King of Mengwi as his families temple; literally translated its name means “the floating flower garden” as the temple is situated in the middle of an artificial lake; it has three ascending levels of spacious courtyards containing rows of shrines and pavillions.

The next stop will be Lake Bratan, a crater that lies serenely in the midst of an elongated valley which was formed centuries ago. A small temple called Pura Ulun Danu Bratan to honour Dewi Danau, goddess of the lake, can be seen on the lake promontory. Stroll along to Candi Kuning market, where local fruits, vegetable and flowers are sold.

After lunch, the trip continues through breathtaking valleys of rice paddies near Jatiluwih to visit Pura Luhur Batukaru Temple, in dense jungle near the peak of Gunung Batukaru, Bali’s second highest mountain. The ancient temple complex has a number of separate sanctuaries joined by damp mountain paths, bubbling spring and large rectangular lake with a shrine in its midst.

After your tour, you will be dropped at your Nusa Dua Beach Hotel where your evening is at leisure or we could arrange a special ‘Romance by The Beach’ romantic candlelit dinner.

Upon arrival your guide will escort you to the first destination of your tour by car. Passing through local villages along the bumpy road to reach pasih uwug also known for Broken Beach. Don’t forget to bring your sunscreen and hat as it can be really hot in the summer.

Enjoy the scenic view of the beach (you won’t find another beach like it in this part of this world). Afterwards you will go to Klingking Hills where you can enjoy the spectacular view before sitting down for lunch.

After lunch Jump into a small boat and depart to Snorkeling Point. Lead by a local instructor; enjoy the variety of colorful fish and amazing Coral. Return to Nusa Penida Island and enjoy some time on the natural white sand Beach , before returning to the harbour to catch the fast boat back to Bali. Upon Arrival in sanur pier around 4.00pm our driver will drive you back to your Hotel.

At the appropriate time, your driver will pick you up for your departure transfer to the airport for your onward flight to your next destination.
