For those with limited time, this 12 Night South East Asia itinerary was designed so you can easily combine (3) destinations together to extend your holiday and experience the South East Asian highlights at an enjoyable pace!

Bali Optional Extensions:

HANOI – HA LONG – HO CHI MINH CITY – 6 Days / 5 Nights

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HANOI 
You will be transferred to your hotel and have the balance of morning at leisure until your afternoon tour.

Late this afternoon, you will be picked up for your sightseeing of the Old Quarter and enjoy Water Puppet show.

own for its beaches, rivers, Buddhist pagodas and bustling cities. Hanoi, the capital, pays homage to the nation’s iconic Communist-era leader, Ho
Chi Minh, via a huge marble mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) has French colonial landmarks, plus Vietnamese War history museums and the Củ Chi tunnels, used by Viet Cong soldiers.

DAY 2: HANOI – HA LONG 
After breakfast, join other passengers on a pleasant overland journey to Ha Long Bay (around 3.5 hours) where you will board the cruise for lunch and an overnight stay on board the junk in Ha Long Bay.

DAY 3: HA LONG – HANOI 
Start your morning early with a Tai Chi exercise on the upper deck of the junk, followed by a light breakfast. The cruise continues at the same time when brunch is served.  After brunch you will be transferred back to your hotel to arrive Hanoi early evening.

DAY 4: HANOI – HO CHI MINH CITY DEPARTURE 
After breakfast, your Hanoi morning tour starts with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside) where President Ho Chi Minh’s body lies in a solemn rest. The sightseeing continues with a visit to Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Other attractions include One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature.

After your Hanoi tour, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Fly: HANOI/SAIGON
You will be transferred to your hotel and have the balance of day at leisure.

DAY 5: HO CHI MINH CITY – MY THO (MEKONG DELTA) 
After breakfast, start your overland transfer to My Tho. At My Tho, board a boat for a short cruise on Mekong River. Disembark on an islet to visit orchards and farmers’ village.

Not very far from the crowded Ho Chi Minh City, My Tho is located in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. It is a popular starting point for tourists to take a boat trip on the Mekong River and to visit orchards and experience the daily life of simple peasants living on islets along the river.

DAY 6: HO CHI MINH CITY – SINGAPORE DEPARTURE
After breakfast, your City tour starts with an exploration of Saigon’s turbulent past with visits to the War Remnants Museum. Tour offers excellent examples of the French colonial architecture with a visit to the Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral (outside). Tour ends at Ben Thanh market, where you may practice your bargaining skills.

After your tour, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Singapore.

Fly: SAIGON/SINGAPORE

SINGAPORE – 4 Days / 3 Nights

DAY 6: SINGAPORE
You will be transferred to your hotel and have the balance of day at leisure.

Singapore is a cosmopolitan city with pretty much consisting of tall concrete buildings. Any spare land would be used to build something…but we are a city in a garden, meaning amidst these tall concrete buildings are trees and plants and flowers and lots of greenery. Also we are a very small country with 5.5 million people so lots of human traffic as well, even away from the city area, unfortunately. There’s a lot of history about Singapore as we were occupied by the British & a fishing village before (50 years ago). 

DAY 7: SINGAPORE – MORNING CITY HIGHLIGHTS TOUR 
After breakfast, your tour begins with a drive past the significant monuments of the Civic District before stopping by at the one-of-a-kind Merlion Park to take in impressive views of Marina Bay. Visit Singapore’s oldest Buddhist-Taoist temple – Thian Hock Keng Temple – before heading to Chinatown to observe local craftsmen at work. Be captivated by the blooms at National Orchid Garden before making your final stop at the fascinating enclave of Little India.

Remainder of your day at leisure.

Evening: SINGAPORE – BY NIGHT with Dinner & Singapore Sling
This evening you will dine in a restaurant situated along the Singapore River and take in the glittering lights of Singapore’s CBD via the Benjamin Sheares Bridge. Explore Bugis Street or other seasonal night bazaars for bargains and round up the magical evening at Raffles Hotel for the legendary Singapore Sling.

DAY 8: SINGAPORE ROUND ISLAND TOUR with Lunch
After breakfast,  start with a leisurely morning stroll along Singapore highest pedestrian bridge at Henderson Waves and take in the lush greenery of Mount Faber and Telok Blangah Hill. Continue west to Haw Par Villa, embark on an unforgettable journey into Chinese folklore and mythology at this park.    Journey north to the Kranji War Memorial to pay respects to the countless World War II heroes. Unveiled in 1957, the memorial commemorates over 20,000 men and women who gave their lives for freedom in World War II.  Lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to Bright Hill Temple, a famous Chinese ancestral place of worship and admire its spectacular architecture. We cross from North at Central to Eastern Singapore to make our last stop at Changi Chapel & Museum to gain an insight into the memories and lives of both POWs and civilian internees who survived the Japanese Occupation. The Changi Chapel is a symbolic replica of the original chapel found in the Changi Prison. For the Prisoners-of-War (POWS) and their families, it is a site that allows for closure of the many emotional scars inflicted during the war years.

DAY 9: SINGAPORE – DENPASAR, Bali DEPARTURE 
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Bali.

BALI – 5 Days / 4 Nights

DAY 9: You will be transferred to your hotel and have the balance of day at leisure.

Bali is an Indonesian island located in the westernmost end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, lying between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. It is one of the country’s 33 provinces with the provincial capital at Denpasar towards the south of the island. Bali is renowned for its diverse and sophisticated art forms, such as painting, sculpture, woodcarving, handcrafts, and performing arts. Balinese percussion orchestra music, known as gamelan, is highly developed and varied. The main tourist locations are the town of Kuta (with its beach), and its outer suburbs of Legian and Seminyak (which were once independent townships), the east coast town of Sanur (once the only tourist hub), in the center of the island Ubud, to the south of the Ngurah Rai International Airport, Jimbaran, and the newer development of Nusa Dua and Pecatu.

DAY 10: BALI – KINTAMANI LAKE & VOLCANO 
After breakfast, your tour is a perfect introduction to Bali’s fascinating culture and handicrafts, offering picturesque rice fields and villages, and the spectacular lake and volcano as a highlight.   First stop is the stone carving village of Batubulan to see the colorful and exciting Barong Dance. After the performance, drive through to the village of Celuk, famous for its gold and silver works. You can watch skilled artisans creating exquisite pieces from gold and silver. Continued to the Balinese countryside to Mas – a village famous for its impressive woodcarvings, where you can see artisans chipping intricate design from blocks of wood.

Next visit is to the mysterious Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave), which dates back to the 3rd century. Hewn out of the rocks, the cave entrance is fantastically carved and depicts entangled leaves, animals, ocean waves and demonic human shapes.    Your route takes you further inland through terraced rice field and up into the mountains, where the vegetation changes from small rice and vegetable plots to bamboo forests clove and citrus fruit trees. There will also be a visit to local village on route during the day. On arrival at Kintamani, enjoy spectacular views of Mount Batur, with ribbons of black lava running down from its peak in the valley below. The crater is holy and a sanctuary at the top is dedicated to fertility goddess. Next to Mount Batur, Lake Batur shimmers like a sheet of blue glass – a wonderful photographic opportunity. Lunch will be provided at local restaurant in Kintamani (at own expense)

The route back to your hotel takes you to one Bali’s holy springs. The waters are believed to have magic curative powers and people journey from all over Bali to purify themselves in the clear bathing pools. In Ubud, the artistic heart of Bali, visit one of the many art galleries and watch the artists at work.

DAY 11: BALI – MENGWI TEMPLE AND TANAH LOT 
After breakfast, your morning is at leisure until pour afternoon tour.

This afternoon, your Mengwi Temple and Tanah Lot Tour first stop will take you on a 15 minutes’ walk (Approximately 300 meters) through scenic terraced rice fields. Cultivated in unique Balinese style, surrounding coconut trees, tropical scenery and the gentle flow of the river will introduce you to the magical Balinese culture. Your trip will be continued to Mengwi Temple, Monkey Forest and Tanah Lot.  Mengwi “Taman Ayun” Temple is originally dating from 1634, this picturesque temple complex surrounded by a moat, has an elaborate stone entrance gate. It’s well kept grassy courtyard boast numerous pavilion and multi-roofed MERU shrines with intricately carved wooden gates.

Monkey Forest is a cluster of towering trees which are home to hundreds of monkeys who go about their way fearlessly in their temple haven, and hundreds of fruit bats who sleep by day and “hunt” by night.
Your last stop is Tanah Lot, famous in Bali as the Sunset Temple. Watch the sunset beyond the black towers of this sacred 16th century temple built on a black lava rock 200 meters off shore. It will be an experience to remember. Tide conditions permitting, you can walk across the beach to the temple.

DAY 12: BALI – KECAK ULUWATU & SEAFOOD DINNER
After breakfast, your morning is at leisure until pour afternoon tour.

This afternoon, join Kecak Uluwatu, and seafood dinner at Jimbaran Café. Visit the Southern cliff of Bali. Rocky precipice drops almost 100 meters into the ocean. The famous small temple of Pura Luhur Uluwatu balances picturesquely on the cliff’s edge, dating from the 10th century, it is one of the six temples of the world revered by all Balinese. When the sun is set enjoy the legendary Kecak Dance performed by a group of men who dance in a circle around a blazing torch. Continue on for a delicious BBQ Seafood Dinner at Jimbaran Bay.

DAY 13: DENPANSAR – USA DEPARTURE 
After breakfast, your Morning is at leisure until your afternoon airport transfer.

This afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to the USA.
